We found a new way to keep Kellan upright without having to resort to the confines of a toy or our arms - the hammock!
(Daddy gets the credit for the amazing discovery)
We're trying more solids, and Kellan is slowly getting used to feeding himself. We still feed him mostly pureed foods, but have been trying items such as plain pasta, bananas, and green beans (as you can see below) to help him further develop his pincher grasp.
Whatchutawkinbout Thatcher?
Cousin Thatcher (and Finley, though not shown) came by for a visit the other day. We're very happy (and lucky!) to have family so close, especially since the kids are near in age. Can't wait for Kellan and Thatcher to start toddling around with each other!
Mommy had a rattle when she was a baby that made a delightful chiming sound. Grandma Pat found it and gave it to Kellan as a "new" toy - he really likes it!
We visited the Ludwigs in Bellingham last weekend. Faith is exactly 7 months younger than Kellan, and is completely ah-doooooooor-ah-bul! Looks like Kellan is trying out his "cradle robbing" skills by planting a kiss on Faith (she doesn't seem too impressed, however).
Sidenote: This was the first time Kellan actually gave a kiss! Hope he's not turning into a "Georgie Porgie"...
Here are a couple other pics from recent weeks that made us smile
P.S.!
Forgot to mention that Mommy saw Kellan pull up to a stand all by himself at home today! He's done it a lot at daycare (so they tell us), but this was the first time it was seen at home. We're so proud of our growing boy!
